A well-loved gravel ride that explores farmland, bushland and one of the best climbs in the area with stunning views and a great descent too.

A must do exploration.

Starting from the old Yea Railway Station, a locally used back road meanders close to the path of the Goulburn River. The highlight of this day for many is the impressive climb up that traverses the valley side offering great views in all directions and plenty of solitude. Once upon the top of the range the scenery is a mix of bushland and farmland and numerous gravel back roads are laid out for you to plan your next adventure. Amongst scraggy gums, stunning views over the valley open up showing how high you’ve climbed and are yours to enjoy all the way into Yarck. Yarck is the ideal opportunity to celebrate the hard yards before rolling back along the Great Victorian Rail Trail and the historic Cheviot Railway Tunnel on your way back to Yea.
