Located in the Victorian North East Rutherglen wine region, nestled down a long driveway flanked by aged vines, you will find the old barrel room Cellar Door of Morris Wines.

Established in 1859, Morris of Rutherglen has earned an esteemed position as one of the most prominent wine-making families in Australia. Throughout 163 years, Morris of Rutherglen still uses traditional wine-making techniques to produce quality, world-renowned wine.

Morris of Rutherglen is world famous for crafting luscious fortifieds and big bold red wines – under the guidance of fifth-generation Chief Winemaker David Morris. Their new venture of Whisky making is also fast becoming renowned within Australia and the Whisky world standing.

Taste the full range of fortifieds including their sumptuous Old Premium Rare Muscat (awarded ‘Best Muscat in the world’ at the Muscat du Monde, 2018 and scoring 100 points by renowned wine writer James Halliday in 2020). Check out their Wine and Whisky Cellar Door exclusives when visiting the winery, recently named Top Two Winery in Australia in the Real Review April 2023. Other awards include:

Five star winery rating of excellence – James Halliday Wine Companion, 2023.
International Fortified Wine Producer of the Year – IWSC, 2018, 2020.
Outstanding Wine Producer of the Year – IWSC 2020.
