7 Peaks Update

On behalf of everyone here in the High Country, we’d like to thank all the cyclists who have heeded the call to #RollOnBack. We’ve been truly humbled by the number of cyclists and their families who have made a concerted effort to return to Australia’s premier cycling destination over the past month, helping our region to recover now that the threat of bushfires has subsided. THANK YOU!

We know that many of you have had your personal 7 Peaks campaign disrupted by the fires and subsequent road closures. But now that all the roads are back open again (following safety checks by authorities), and with a long weekend coming up, now is the perfect time to plan your trip to tick off a few more peaks. The weather is going to be perfect over the long weekend, so what are you waiting for?

And remember, if you complete all 7 Peaks prior to 27 April 2020, you’re eligible for this years 7 Peaks x MAAP 7 Peaks Champions Jersey…it’s is absolutely our best ever jersey! Just email us when you’ve conquered them all. Don’t miss out!!!

For those of you who won’t be able to #RollOnBack and had your 7 Peaks plans derailed by the fires, you may still be eligible for this years 7 Peaks Champions Jersey. Please contact us via [email protected] with your details.

NB: as a result of the fires , and regular maintenance, Regional Road Victoria have announced that there will be some roadworks on our peaks including the Great Alpine Road on the way to Mt Hotham. One lane is scheduled to be open at all times through the duration of these works, but you should stay aware of planned roadworks via RRV’s interactive map.
