The Tallangatta - Firebrace Loop is one for the most experienced gravel cyclists, offering a deceptively gentle beginning that belies its true challenge.

This expert loop is a challenging ride through pristine bush and farmland along well-maintained country roads with a unique mix of sand, clay and crushed granite surfaces. A gentle start on the High Country Rail Trail gives way to a limit-pushing 16km climb and long descent. Take a break at the 41km mark with a short walk to the Conic Rocks Lookout for spectacular views. Along the way, discover six historic trestle bridges and plaques narrating the story of the local area and the former train line.
