The 16.5km ride out of Yea passes remnants of the raised railway line and meanders amongst farmland away from the road as it climbs slowly up to the Cheviot Tunnel, built from 675,000 locally made handmade bricks in 1889. From here a gentle descent amongst tall gums leads to Molesworth, sitting on the banks of the mighty Goulburn River.
