The Murray to Mountains Rail Trail is the perfect way to discover the diverse and ever-changing landscape of North East Victoria – from natural bushland to verdant farmland, delightfully unexpected hidden valleys and some of Australia’s most spectacular mountain ranges. Hit the the Rutherglen to Wahgunyah section on the flat, sealed trail, popping into welcoming cellar doors along the way.

Starting out with some nice and easy flat rides, to the aptly named King of the Hill 98km advanced ride, you'll find a great selection of rewarding tarmac rides for all levels in Rutherglen.
GRAVEL RIDES
Being so close to the Murray River, Rutherglen's gravel scene is dominated by fast, flat farm backroads, great for cranking out some kms. Link those up with the pathways and rail trail network for scenic, safe riding. The Gravelicious Brewery Tour 550 bikepacking route passes through Rutherglen, and there's no end of incredible winery cellar doors and local producers to visit.
